Tony Licata

     Tony Licata, a founding member of the Four Hornsmen, has studied at prestigious institutions such as the Southeastern Music Festival, the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, and Interlochen Arts Camp. Having won first place in several competitions throughout the United States, he has earned numerous honors including the Louisiana Governor's Special Recognition A ward, the Louisian a State Legislature Certificate of Merit, and the New Orleans Mayor's Certificate of Merit. In the course of his career he has performed solo and in small and large ensembles such as the New Orleans Civic Symphony, the Dallas Wind Symphony, the Champaign Wind Quintet, and the world renowned American Wind Symphony Orchestra. He has held full time positions with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, and the Sugar Creek Festival Orchestra. Mr. Licata received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked toward his Master's degree at the University of Illinois where he studied with Kazmierz Machala before enlisting in the United States Army. He is currently stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he performs with The Army Ground Forces Band and lives with his wife Jessica and their son, Braeden
